Is Recursive Flint state of the art?Pending benchmarks.Announced Oct 21, 2026; no independent results yet.
Recursive's first model: a mixture-of-experts coding model for local use, built with the company's automated research system (the Eureka Machine). It works through codebases, fixes bugs, implements features and writes tests, with reasoning and multi-turn tool calls. Trained from scratch; Apache 2.0 weights on Hugging Face, with INT4 and NVFP4 builds.

What would let us call it
Verdicts use only independent boards we already track. Two consecutive snapshots are required before any crown.
- Publicly announced with a source
- Usable by the public (API or weights)
- Listed on an independent board we track
- Enough results for a rank in a category
- Holds across two snapshots (crowns only)
What the lab claims
Self-reported. Shown for context; not used in any verdict.
Lab claim: 54.9% on Terminal-Bench 2.1, 89.7% on SWE-bench Pro v2 and 74.2% on SWE-bench Verified in Recursive's release evaluations.
